Quick answer

For poor performance, the developer recommends turning off RTXDI and checking hardware, drivers and GPU selection. There is no benchmarked “best preset” on this site.

Start with these checks

  1. Compare your hardware with the official system requirements.
  2. Make sure the game uses your dedicated GPU on a laptop.
  3. Check for current GPU drivers and Windows updates.
  4. Try disabling RTXDI and compare the same scene.

Ray tracing and video memory

The pinned guide advises against ray tracing on GPUs with 12 GB VRAM or less when dealing with artifacts or memory pressure. A card meeting minimum requirements is not a promise that all advanced effects will perform well.

Change one setting at a time

Use a repeatable scene and note whether a change improves stability, image quality or responsiveness. Avoid changing every option at once: it hides which setting actually helped.

When settings are not the whole problem

Autosave stutter and startup failures need a different diagnosis. Read the troubleshooting guide for the developer’s notes and the limits of launch-parameter workarounds.
